Swift Performance Lite is the free edition of Swift Performance 2. Its successor was rebuilt from scratch: critical CSS, script timing and font subsets are worked out for every page in a real Chrome browser in our cloud, so you spend your time on your site, not on cache settings.

Critical CSS for every page
A headless Chrome in our cloud renders each page at desktop and at mobile size and extracts what the first screen needs. That CSS is inlined; the full stylesheet loads after it.
JavaScript in its original order
Scripts wait for the browser to be idle, then run in their original order, inline ones included. Scripts a page doesn't need for its first screen wait for the first interaction, and an early click is replayed, not lost.
Fonts cut to what's on screen
Only the characters visible on the page go into a small critical font file, inlined with the critical CSS. The full font follows, with font-display: swap.
WebP on your own server
Images are converted to WebP on your server, with Imagick or GD, and your originals stay untouched. Image optimization is included in every plan.
A cache that doesn't go cold
When you edit a page, visitors keep getting the previous cached copy until the new one is ready, so nobody lands on an unbuilt page.
Fast for logged-in visitors too
Script optimization also runs for logged-in visitors and on pages that can't be cached, so members and customers get the speed, not only anonymous visitors.
A new plugin, not an update
Installed next to Lite, then Lite steps aside
Swift Performance AI is a separate plugin built from scratch, so it doesn't overwrite Lite. When it starts, it switches Lite off for you and leaves Lite's settings in your database, untouched.
Much less to configure
It sets itself up from what it learns about each page. The advanced settings are still there when you want to fine-tune.
Two caches never fight
WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache, LiteSpeed Cache, Autoptimize, WP Super Cache and other overlapping cache plugins are switched off on activation as well.
The analysis runs in our cloud
The per-page work happens on our servers, not on your hosting, so it needs an active license.

Is Swift Performance AI the Pro version of Lite?
It's the next generation. Lite and Pro are Swift Performance 2. Swift Performance AI was built from scratch to replace them, and it's the upgrade we offer to Lite users.
I already have a subscription at swiftperformance.io. Do I need a new plan?
No. A swiftperformance.io subscription licenses Swift Performance AI too. Log in at swiftperformance.io, open My Account → Migrate and click Start sync: your subscription shows up in your Must-Have Plugins account, and the original stays untouched.
Will my Lite settings carry over?
No, and they don't need to: Swift Performance AI builds its own configuration from each page. Lite's settings stay in your database, untouched.
Do I need to remove Lite first?
No. Swift Performance AI switches Lite off when it starts. You can delete Lite later from the Plugins screen.
Does it work behind Cloudflare?
Yes. Its Cloudflare integration purges Cloudflare's cache together with its own.
